Biblical View

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord," Psalm 33:12

That says it all. If a nation has the Lord as their God, they are blessed. America was founded as a Christian nation with religious freedom.

There has been an effort to alter American history and seemingly wipe out the Christian roots of the United States. Of course this doesn't change the truth, but the indoctrination of our children with this false information, would have an effect on how they view the United States, and her purpose, weakening the very things that have made this nation great.

Although we want a nation "whose God is the Lord" this doesn't mean that we force every citizen of the nation to be a Christian. God doesn't even do that. He has given everyone a free will to choose whether they want to follow Him or not. We should never have a religion that is forced upon the people--by government or anyone else. This is the danger of Islam's Sharia, which does just that if they are in a position to do so.
