Week 7
Ezekiel 29:6-7. Lessons from Egypt.
Egypt was being destroyed, at least in part, because of their relationship with Israel. They were not a strong supporter of Israel. They appeared to be so, but when the pressure was on, the support easily broke, injuring Israel. God forgive us for not supporting Israel as we should. May we support her, yet point her to You as well, not attempting to take Your place with her.
"“Then all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the Lord,
Because they have been only a staff made of reed to the house of Israel.
“When they took hold of you with the hand,
You broke and tore all their hands;
And when they leaned on you,
You broke and made all their loins quake.”
